CONSWAN FUND RAISER PROJECT

‘As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to ravage the economy, the Human Resources Ministry reveals that 99,696 Malaysians have lost their jobs since the implementation of the movement control order (MCO) in March up till Nov 27 this year.’

Based on the above statement, many people are forced to think out of the box to survive the pandemic. Many of them have opted to start small business but some are still struggling.

As a good and caring citizen of Malaysia, you and a group of your friends have decided to create a food product using the fermentation concept you recently learned to help raise funds for people who are affected badly during this pandemic in Sitiawan.

So, using the knowledge learnt in subtopic 7.3 Fermentation, create a project report to help you start up a small business to raise the funds.

Before you start, brainstorm by filling in the FILA chart below.

Next, let’s move on to the next steps.

STEP 1 : Proposal

PROCEDURE:

  1. Work in groups.
  2. Refer textbook page 118:

Choose one food product that is produced through the fermentation process

Examples of products are tapai, yoghurt or bread/donut

  • Proposal Report (No 1 -6), Full Report (No 1 – 10) :
    • Use Font : Times New Roman, size 12

      4. Introduction of the project including the objectives
        • What is the project about? (A summary of the whole project)
          • Use the WH-Questions to help you add points.
        • Relate the concept of fermentation to the product produced.
      5. Objective/s of the project
      6. Procedure
        1. Materials and apparatus
        2. Steps to produce the product with picture
        3. Precaution steps
      7. Execution cost

        • Selling price of the product
        • Estimated profit minus cost etc.
      10. Ledger Accounts
      11. Summary
        • Overall experience
        • Outcome

Send in your proposal report (softcopy) and all images/videos (all attachment) related in marketing your product in Google Classroom before due.

Then, there’ll be a short presentation by each group regarding their project proposal.

STEP 2 : Carrying out the project

Once your proposal project is approved, you can proceed with marketing and selling your products and raise funds for at least a month depending on the current situation.

Make sure to keep all receipts, bills and incomes in account as evidence. You will also need to make a report on the accounts.

Also, you need to keep evidence of everything done in the form of either picture/video/other suitable form.

STEP 3 : Help people in need

All profit raised will be used in buying food supply (basic need) for the families affected.

Once we’ve completed the task, all fund raised and sent to families affected, make sure to complete your report.

Thank you.
